The National Skills Academy for Power (NSAP), which received around £3 million of government funding, has gained approval.

NSAP, originally announced in 2008, is the 15th National Skills Academy. It is mandated to make sure people have the right skills to work in the energy sector now and in the future. One of the challenges NSAP faces is the development of a “seven-fold” increase in skills needed to deliver the planned 45GW of renewable generation capacity. NSAP is envisaged as a partnership led by Sector Skills Council Energy & Utility Skills, with support from more than 15 employers including E.ON, EDF Energy and National
Grid.

ByBox is a leading supply chain and logistics company specialising in in-night pre 8am deliveries to secure drop boxes around the UK.

We operate in a number of sectors including utilities, reprographics, pharmaceutics, home appliance and vending. Our distribution is supported with a high tech tracking system called Thinventory™ which records in real time the status of your parts at every stage of  the supply chain; from the picking through to the delivery and returns of an item.

We operate a network of 18,000 drop boxes at more than 1350 locations around the UK with a network of 29 forward stock locations and 150 manned handover sites, your field engineers are on average only 2.5 miles away from a ByBox location. We not only manage the delivery of your packages to your field staff, but can also manage the returns and repairs of any faulty items. We operate a ‘technical courier’ service called ByBox SwitchIT which is where any faulty machinery can be tested onsite and any low level repairs can be carried out or swapped for a working item.

We also do more intrusive repairs with our team of 350 technical engineers based around the country to cover more complex repair jobs. As well as these services, ByBox FixIT is our in-house repair centre where our team of technicians can manage the complete repair of a faulty item. These repair services are all managed and tracked via Thinventory™ allowing for complete visibility at every stage of the supply chain.

We work with customers including Siemens Metering, Konica Minolta, Coca Cola Enterprises and Fujitsu to provide a near 100% reliability for the delivery of their parts/parcels pre 8am to our network of drop boxes (with 93% of our deliveries being made before 6am in the morning).

We pride ourselves on being able to save our customers money on their supply chain, streamlining their current practices and still being able to provide an unrivalled level of service. We have received a number of accolades and awards including the Deloitte Fast 50, the Sunday Times Tech Track and the IFW Innovation Award. As well as our UK network, we also have operations in the Republic of Ireland, France and Benelux.
